Terms of Service

These are the rules for using My Room (myroomweb.com). By creating a screen name you agree to them, and to the Privacy Policy.
1. Be excellent
Be nice to everybody in My Room. No bullying, harassment, hate, threats or sexual content, in chat rooms, 411s, letters, sticky notes, the Community Boards, your profile, your room, or your photos and videos.
2. Your password is yours
Never give your password to anyone. TwoFour staff will never ask for it. You're responsible for what happens under your screen name.
3. Keep it private
Don't post your real address, phone number, school or email, and don't ask other members for theirs. The chat rooms block phone numbers and email addresses automatically.
4. What you post
Only post things you have the right to post: your own words, and pictures and videos that are yours to share. What you post stays yours. By posting it, you let My Room store it and show it to other members in the places you posted it, for as long as it's there.
5. Younger members
If you're under 13, you need a parent or guardian to say it's OK before you join. Grown-ups can set Parental Controls, locked with a PIN, from the Welcome screen.
6. Moderation
Members can report chat messages, Boards posts, photos, videos, rooms and other members. Moderators may remove anything that breaks these rules, give a member a time-out from chatting and sharing, or close an account. Something reported by several members may be hidden until a moderator has looked at it.
7. Allowance and furniture
Allowance, furniture and room sizes are part of the game. They have no cash value, can't be traded for money, and can't be bought with money.
8. My Room Plus
- Plus costs $1.99 a month and unlocks every chat room, your own Member Rooms, Buddy List colors and bigger rooms.
- It renews every month until you cancel. Payment is handled by Stripe.
- You can cancel any time from Manage Billing (the Plus button at the bottom of the window). When Plus ends, you keep your account and furniture and move back to the Standard Room.
9. The radio
The boombox plays live internet radio from PowerHitz.com and 181.FM. Those stations are run by their owners, not by My Room, and may be unavailable at times.
10. The service
My Room is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and your things saved, but it may be unavailable at times, features may change, and we can't promise nothing will ever be lost.
11. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top will change and important changes will be announced on the Welcome screen's bulletin.
